The file formats this library reads and writes.
Symbols in this group are spelled otio_format_…. An SDK drops that prefix, which is why the name beside each call is the short one.
Returns the format that claims a filename suffix, such as `"edl"`.
The suffix is matched without its dot and without regard to case. Reports `OTIO_STATUS_NO_VALUE` for a suffix no format claims.
A build for WebAssembly, which has no file system, claims neither `otioz` nor `otiod`, since it cannot read or write either.
OtioStatus otio_format_from_suffix(
const char *suffix,
OtioFormat *out_format,
OtioBuffer *out_error);| Parameter | Type | Role |
|---|---|---|
| suffix | text | input |
| out_format | OtioFormat | written through, not read |
| out_error | text | why the call failed, or null to skip it |
Returns an adapter's name, as upstream's plugin manifest spells it.
The string is static and needs no freeing.
const char *otio_format_name(OtioFormat format);| Parameter | Type | Role |
|---|---|---|
| format | OtioFormat | what the call is about |
