# Composable

> Anything that can sit inside a composition.

Symbols in this group are spelled `otio_composable_…`. An SDK drops that prefix.

## `new`

`otio_composable_new` · constructor

Creates a composable: something that sits in a composition and nothing more.

OtioStatus otio_composable_new(
    OtioDocument *target,
    const char *name,
    OtioNode *out_node,
    OtioBuffer *out_error);
```
